"Girl with Dolphin" by Milton Horn (1906-1995) Group/female/child/dolphin/creature Signed on base at front: M. HORN 1929 A plump girl baby rides a dolphin, holding its head with both hands. The fish's tail is lifted to her back. In both this piece and "Boy with Dolphin," the curving shapes of the dolphins and the babies' forms make a pleasant circular composition. The babies' laughing faces and the dolphins' grotesque heads are boldly carved. |
