Sculptor. After graduating from Barbnard College in 1915, she began the study of sculpture. She moved to Baltimore and worked with J. Maxwell Miller for seven years, and won a European scholarship in 1927, visiting England, Belgium, France and Italy. The Maryland Institute then provided her with a studio and models so that she could carry out her work on a larger scale. |

She was awarded a Junior League Prize in an exhibition by Maryland artists at The Baltimore Museum of Art in 1935. In 1936 a wall fountain was given first prize for the best work in any medium. The Wilson Levering Smith Medal received a prize in a competition sponsored by the Friends of Art and a portrait head recieved the Maryland Institute Medal in 1938. |
