"Saluki" by Gertrude Katherine Lathrop (1896-1986) Animal/dog/Persian gazelle hound The Persian gazelle hound, Sag Mal Haroun - al Raschid of Kayenne stands squarely on four feet, the head lifted. The body is smooth but the tail and ears are finely feathered, and there are tufts of hair on the legs. The mound under his front feet is patterned with flowers. |
